Tim is a Principal Maritime Engineer who is regularly engaged to set, oversee and maintain the engineering requirements (policies, frameworks, standards, procedures) for all maritime engineering aspects of assets and provide technical advice as required.
Tim is a technical specialist who is globally recognised as a subject matter expert. His key skill areas include but are not limited to:
Ports and marinas;
Surface drainage and formation;
Dredging and earthworks
Tim has experience in roles responsible for overseeing and performing complex innovative investigations to develop new or improved products, processes or techniques for Maritime and Coastal aspects of projects.
In previous projects he has adopted the following key responsibilities:
Lead, manage and develop maritime and coastal teams consisting of engineers and inspectors
Develop the long and short term approach to the management and maintenance of the maritime and coastal portfolio
Advise companies on the risk status and risk approach of their maritime and coastal structures portfolio
Set works program priorities for the engineering delivery teams
Develop maritime and coastal technical requirements
Set technical and quality assurance standards and follow up infield inspection of works, mentoring and advice.
Drive technical innovation from research, data capture and analysis
Conceive, plan and initiate site investigations
Co-ordinates project activities with other discipline leads
Review and/or approval of technical specifications and scope of works to determine both internal and external project objectives.
Develop asset management plans from, amongst other things, inspections and analysis of condition monitoring data to develop trends and predict failure rates and modes
